C.S. Lewis

C.S. Lewis (1898-1963) was an Irish-born British novelist, poet, academic, and Christian apologist. He is best known for his highly successful allegorical fantasy series The Chronicles of Narnia and his Christian apologetic work Mere Christianity. He also wrote science fiction under the pen name “Clive Staples” and produced a wide variety of other works, including literary criticism, poetry, and children’s books.
